Rebekah Carr

From crayon sketches on napkins at dinner tables, to pencil sketches on church programs and attendance pads - even as a kid, Rebekah was always finding an opportunity to be creative. On long car rides, when her brother would reach for the gameboy she would opt for a book of home blueprints. Not only to appreciate the unique designs, but more so to dream of the lives and stories that the homes would embody! Imagination and storytelling were at the root of what led her to the world of Interior Design, and it remains a driving force in every client our team works with.

As the owner and Lead Designer of Sweet Bay Design, Rebekah brings a lengthy and diverse background to assist with clients’ needs. With a degree in Interior Design and over 15 years of experience in the field, she is able to pull from first-hand experience in construction, architecture, real estate, and numerous resources & relationships for vendors and suppliers. Also, working hand in hand with the best sister company a girl could ask for, Haven Realty Co - there truly is no project that our Sweet Haven team can’t help guide you towards completing…and all under one roof!

Colby and Rebekah set up their Sweet Haven headquarters at 2801 Market Street in 2019. Not only is the space set up for making dreams and deals come true, but it's truly a home away from home. The vision was, that no matter whether it be a client, a builder, a vendor, or a colleague - the space is set up for comfort, conversations, and relaxation. What helps us all do our job well, is drawing from our core of what home means to us. What better atmosphere to work in, then one that allows for us to kick our shoes off, lay back in a chair, with a cool beverage, and share with our extended family what the latest chapter of life’s journey we've been on.

After living in Wilmington for almost 15 years Rebekah has truly bought into the entire lifestyle that coastal North Carolina offers. From spending weekends on the water with her husband and furry children, to enjoying the amazing local fare with friends and family! She loves this community she is able to call home, and loves helping others set down their coastal roots!

Lauren Mitcheltree

As our Director of Operations, Lauren is our take charge boss babe, who keeps it all together! From the chaos of the creative journey, to the logistics of numerous projects happening alongside one another, she reigns in the chaos and allows each member of our team to do their job in serving our clients exceedingly well. Her passion truly is for helping people and supporting them to grow and thrive. Whether it be for our clients or with subcontractors that we work alongside with, her role is an integral part of what makes our client’s experience exceed their expectation.

In her downtime she enjoys spending time at the beach and making the most of this beautiful place we get to call home. Any chance she gets to travel with her husband or snuggle with her pups is time much enjoyed. And when she’s not reigning in the chaos for us professionally, you will find her doing life and loving her role as mama to her very active two boys!

Whether it’s supporting her boys from the sidelines at games or rooting for her colleagues to be the best version of themselves - you couldn’t ask for a better person to have on your team!

Colby Saucier

As owner and Broker In Charge of our sister company Haven Realty Co - Colby is a force to be reckoned with. Not only is she an all around bad***, she is also the hype girl for our entire office staff. She and Rebekah make quite the dynamic duo. Like most amazing relationships, they could not be more opposite in a lot of ways - and yet they are the perfect balance for one another.

Colby grew up around construction, design, and realty, and after high school she pursued many facets of the world she had already been immersed in. She not only has a degree in Interior Design, but also has extensive experience in all of the steps of purchasing a property; whether residential or commercial. From the initial research of a property, all the way through to the steps required to legally close and transfer ownership - she’s your girl! Need a contractor, landscaper, attorney, lender, or AMAZING interior designer - she’s got the connections you need to make your next move!

When she’s not busy celebrating and doing life with all of her colleagues at the Sweet Haven office, you will find her working alongside her General Contractor husband! Whether for a client, or on a property they are personally renovating, she will be there with her sleeves rolled up along with her two adorable sons/sidekicks! It's truly in their genes! They could not be happier being on the job site with mom and dad and helping in any way they can!

Raina Kor

Originally from New York, Raina recently moved to North Carolina. Raina’s focus on design has always been at the core of her work. Through her experiences at FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology) and New York School of Interior Design, Raina developed a strong sense of cohesion, style and systematic thinking. As a public school teacher and administrator, Raina led the work of instructional design again using design principles to create environments that reflect balance, proportion, variety and unity. With strong communication skills and attention to detail, Raina supports both clients and vendors during the design and build process.
